Recently, A.D.D reader Jessica Elle recommended that we check out the Ion iPTUSB USB Turntable. This mouthful of a turntable from Numark can be tucked under your arm – it’s light and meant for portability. Its USB output for recording connects directly to your computer, allowing you to archive vinyl to your PC or Mac. Its body is made out of plastic (minus the metal handle) so it’s probably resistant to a few bumps and blows.
Its battery life is around 16 hours (I wish my iPod even lasted that long!), so with its highly-rated sound quality and super-portability, you can take this turntable with you wherever you go.
And the best part? This costs half the price of my iPod. At $149, it’s certainly got plenty of bang for its buck.
